A Puerto Del Carmen is about 10min from the airport by car.

Q Where do we pick up a taxi from at the airport
A As you come through from Baggage arrivals, Taxi rank is directly in front of you

Q How do we get to the property from the Airport?
A Most people either pick up a hire car at the airport or jump in a taxi.

Q How much is a taxi to Puerto Del Carmen from the airport
A Dependent on where you are going but normally no more than about 15€

Q Where can we pick up a hire car from.
A There are several car hire desks at the airport, and numerous offices throughout Puerto Del Carmen.

CAR HIRE

Q What Information and paperwork do we require to hire a car
A You will require both parts of your UK / Eire driving licence, your Passport and Accommodation address.

Q If we hire a car or get a taxi, how do we find our accommodation?
A If you are booking through us, you will receive a bookings Confirmation package prior to your departure from the UK / Eire Within the package you will find directions from the airport to your accommodation written both in English and Spanish.

Q Which side of the road do we drive on
A Always the Left hand side – Drivers seat should always be in the middle of the road.

Q What documentation do we require when driving in Lanzarote
A It is Law in Spain that you always carry your Passport and driving licence.

Q What are the drink driving laws in Spain
A Stricter than in the UK / Eire – Don’t drink and drive.

AT YOUR ACCOMMODATION

Q How do we get into our Villa / Bungalow?
A If you are booking through us, you will receive a bookings Confirmation package prior to your departure from the UK / Eire Within the package you will find a key code which opens an outside key safe, there you will find your house key to open the door.

Q Do the Villas / Bungalows have security alarms?
A Most of our properties are fitted with Security alarms and instructions on there use are found within the property.

Q Do the Villas / Bungalows have air conditioning?
A Some of our properties are fully air conditioned, others have fans. Details of which ones are air conditioned are contained under the description of the property within this web site.

Q Our property has a private swimming pool, do we have to do anything to maintain it
A Swimming pools are maintained by our fully trained staff; the only thing we ask is that you use the pool cover at night to keep the heat in.

Q Can we swim in the pool at night?
A No – It is illegal to use a pool between dusk & dawn

Q How hot is the swimming pool
A All our pools have thermostatically controlled electric heat pumps that will maintain the water temperature at around 29 deg , however most of the year the air temperature is warmer than 29 deg so the heat pumps won’t come on.

Q Can we drink the tap water
A Yes – All tap water in Lanzarote is desalinated, and fairly tasteless. We recommend that bottle water should be used for drinking.

Q We are arriving into Lanzarote early morning when can we get access to the villa / Bungalow.
A For Arriving guests we usually advise that the property will be ready for 2pm However should you arrive earlier and your property is not ready, you are welcome to leave your baggage and take yourself off down the shops. Our staff can have the house ready quicker if it is vacant.

Q We have a late flight on our day of departure, can we stay in the house longer than normal.
A The house should be vacated no later than 10am on your date of departure; however should you be on a late flight your baggage can be stored in a secure area. In the event that there is no incoming guests arriving on your day of departure you may be allowed to stay in the property longer than 10am at our discretion.

Q Do we need to bring towels and bedding with us
A No – All our houses are fully fitted and supplied, all you require to bring is yourselves.

Q How do we order a taxi for our return trip to the airport
A No problem, we will order one for you - our staff will come round to the house a couple of days before your departure and arrange a pick up time.

GENERAL

Q Is there a time difference between Lanzarote and the UK / Eire
A No – The Canary Islands are on the same time as the UK / Eire however Mainland Spain is 1 hour ahead.

Q What is the Currency in Lanzarote?
A Euros

Q What is the medical care like in Lanzarote?
A Medical care in Lanzarote is excellent, however you have to be aware most of it is private and requires to be paid for, unless you have the equivalent of an E111 and go to a Spanish NHS clinic

A Have you taken the key out of the Key safe and unlocked the door ?

Q The key code we have is the wrong one for the key safe?
A Are you at the right house?

Q Where is the beach?
A Normally in front of that large expanse of water right in front of you.

Q I booked a villa with a swimming pool?
A Yes madam, it is out in the garden.

A You are in Spain !

Q Our swimming pool heat pump is not working, but the pool is really warm?
A It is a 115 deg at the moment, !!!!
